Nana Ayano has announced her intention to depart the controversial adult-themed pop idol group.
Nana Ayano, member of the largely Japanese Adult Video roster behind
the Ebisu★Muscats, has announced her plans to leave the group. Ayano,
known for her quirky personality, requested to withdraw from the group
for undisclosed personal reasons.
The departure comes ahead of the planned nationwide tour beginning
April 15th along with their contract with the Nagoya Auto Trend 2017
custom car trade fair to be held at the Port Messe Nagoya on February
25th and 26th.
Ebisu★Muscats [恵比寿マスカッツ] is a J-pop group consisting of Japanese
gravure idols and Adult Video idols, under the Pony Canyon record label.
It was established in 2008 as part of the TV Tokyo’s variety show
Onegai! Muscat [おねがい マスカット] which first aired in April 2008. Their first
single, released in 2010, reached number 8 in sales on Oricon’s singles
chart. They held their first live show in July 2010 in Shibuya, Tokyo.
The group included adult video actresses including Yuna Asami, Rio, Aoi
Sora, Minori Hatsune, Asami Ogawa, Kaho Kasumi, Maria Ozawa, and Kaera
Uehara alongside gravure models such as Aika Ando, Rion Sakamoto,
Natsumi Kaho, Konan, and Yumi Nagase.
The group did not have a permanent roster but members were rotated in
and out. By mid-2012 there were 29 active members and 45 had retired.
At that time the group was led by AV Idol Yuma Asami who had been with
the group from the start. Because of problems with scheduling and
commitments from members with busy modeling and video schedules, the
group disbanded and held its last concert on April 7, 2013 after a
farewell tour.
