Nana Ayano to Leave Adult Pop Group Ebisu★Muscats


Nana Ayano has announced her intention to depart the controversial adult-themed pop idol group.
Nana Ayano, member of the largely Japanese Adult Video roster behind the Ebisu★Muscats, has announced her plans to leave the group. Ayano, known for her quirky personality, requested to withdraw from the group for undisclosed personal reasons.

The departure comes ahead of the planned nationwide tour beginning April 15th along with their contract with the Nagoya Auto Trend 2017 custom car trade fair to be held at the Port Messe Nagoya on February 25th and 26th.

Mariya Suzuki to Depart AKB48


AKB48 is about to lose another member as Mariya Suzuki announces her plans to bow out of the group.
Mariya Suzuki, member of AKB48′s Team K, has announced her intentions to graduate from the group on April 30th which will dual serve as a farewell and Birthday concert show. Suzuki shares “When I think of how many up and coming members are ready to take the lead for the next generation of AKB48 I felt it was an excellent time to graduate from the group.” she continues “I will continue to enjoy my youth that I’ll leave behind me in the coming weeks left with AKB48.”

BRATS release MV for Slaveman theme Nounai Shoukyo Game (“Brain Erase Game”)


Japanese girls rock band BRATS have released their new music video “Nounai Shoukyo Game” (“Brain Erase Game”), the theme song from the upcoming film Slaveman, directed by Noboru Iguchi (Machine Girl, Robogeisha, Prison School).

When WagakkiBand addressed the audience from the stage at the legendary Nippon Budokan in January last year, singer Yuko Suzuhana made a request: She asked the audience to help carry the band to even bigger and better things.

13 months later, seeing WagakkiBand own the stage of Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium for the first of two sold-out shows on February 17 and 18, 2017 – a total of 15,000 glowstick-waving fans – it was clear her wish had come true.

Kira Takahashi to Graduate AKB48

Kira Takahashi is taking leave of AKB48 shocking fans in the process.

Kira Takahashi, member of the Team B trainees, has made the announcement she’s leaving the pop idol group. Takahashi shares “I’m pretty sure I’ve surprising the majority of you with the sudden announcement but I’ve been thinking about my future with AKB48 my life quite a bit lately. I’m not sure what I want to do with my life anymore and it’s gotten me quite anxious. I made the decision to graduate from AKB48 to focus on what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Morning Musume ’17 to Release Double-A Side Single in March

Morning Musume ’17 is coming hot with their latest double A-sided single set to hit stores next month.

Morning Musume ’17 will be releasing their newest single. titled BRAND NEW MORNING / Jealousy Jealousy, on March 8th marking the first single featuring the 13th generation members Reina Yokoyama and Kaede Kaga. 2017 also marks the 20th anniversary of Morning Musume with fans expecting it to be a blow out year.

Rev. From DVL to Disband

Rev. from DVL have announced that they are to disband on March 31st.

The Kyushu based idol group was originally formed in 2003 as DVL (which stands for Dance Vocal Love) and became Rev. from DVL in 2011 with them expanding their activities following a major label deal in 2014.  They went on to release 7 singles in the next 3 years, commencing with “LOVE-arigatou-” in April 2014, and ending with their most recent (and now final) single, “Vampire”, in December 2016.  The singles regularly charted in the top 10 of the Oricon chart, and ensured that the group attracted fans all over Japan.  They are particularly known for Kanna Hashimoto who was described by many as a “Once-in-a-life-time Idol” after a photograph of her appeared in a magazine; Kanna has now started a solo career, releasing her first single “Sailor Fuku to Kikanjuu” in February 2016.
